I vandalized multiple police cars - for credit.
I took a vehicle extrication class with the city. I broke multiple windows. I took a whole door off with the Hurst tool ( Jaws of life). I helped do a dash roll with a hydraulic ram.
It was awesome.
I friend asked me later, "As a doctor, when could you be called upon to used those skills?"
Oh I totally won't be! But wouldn't you go hit police cars with hammers and fire extinguishers and crow bars if you could?

and she looked sexy doing it!
Hopefully, now that you've finished this rotation, you'll have some time to regale us with new tales of the residency.
Miss reading about it.
Hello from Cali. I am a full time ER doc - out of residency in 2002. Nice blog. Just read your post about losing your patient. It gets easier - but you will always feel this way. Nice that you miss them when they go. Makes you a better doctor for sure. Good luck with the rest of your residency. I love my job - it's much easier as an attending! Have fun though - it goes fast.
*taps fishtank glass* you still alive in there?
I haven't seen her in days....
